For my current project I am producing a business report on highstreet fashion chain Oasis. I've always loved the edgy femininity of their styling and brand handwriting, and their collaboration with London College of Fashion student, Rosalind Keep, does nothing but sell Oasis as a real highstreet player. The idea of Trompe L'oeil (tricking the eye) is a concept developed by Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1930s and was seen on the autumn/winter 2009/10 catwalks of Viktor and Rolf, Stella McCartney and Comme des Garcons.
The Oasis stores are currently filled with varying designs by Keep and includes vests and tees printed to look like dresses and trench coats. The pieces are really fun and fresh for spring and add humour to the 'Oasis Girl's' carefully considered wardrobe.
